When shooting in 1080P HD the Alexa’s ALEV III sensor’s native resolution is over-sampled by a factor of X 1.5 which delivers an image with incredibly very low noise, very low aliasing and an increased MTF. The native ISO of the Alexa sensor is 800 EI (exposure index) / 800 ISO, ranging from 160 to 3200 EI, native rating is 800 EI so the low-light performance is very good.
